I've been trying to get a 4 way switch to work in a tele with a 2 wire humbucker in the neck.

I've wired and rewired and ohmed out and looked at wiring diagrams and tried variations and looked at the switch on and off for a couple of weeks now.

Right now I at least have all 4 switch positions making an output signal but its 1 and 2 the same output and 3 and 4 the same - basically a 2 way switch!

I'm throwing in the towel and going back to a 3 way switch.

Now back to you're regularly scheduled modding....

A couple of modifications there-- flat Gotoh brass bridge with six saddles and Fender locking tuners. Here's a closer shot of the bridge:

I'm really impressed with this instrument-- enough so that there will be a CV Thinline arriving in a couple of days. :)

I can't do it. It totally messes me up and seems to get my muscle memory off.

Now, I can take a quick glance at how I'm fretting something, but I can't look at my fingers the whole time. I've seen guys look at their hands for the entire song, which I can't do. I do a lot better by NOT looking at my hands and fingers while I play. For learning chords, yes, I look at how I'm placing my fingers and make adjustments if necessary, but to me learning to finger a chord is a lot different than playing a whole song. Is NOT looking at your hands and fingers considered bad technique?

Maybe it's a first impression when you look at adds or maybe it's when you're walking through a shop(GC, etc.). I hate to even say because I don't want to hurt feelings but honey blonde or butterscotch maybe a flat black doesn't thrill me.....but on the other hand I don't think I would turn one down.
